I love nature and its reflections which naturally reflects in my work. Mainly painting in oil on country life and nature based themes nad still life.

My art is about the appropriation and restructuring of found objects and
materials that are already in existence.

I try to attract the eye of the viewer by choosing objects that they will connect to, and that are instantly recognizable by association and nostalgic response.

Starting with an initial proposal, I borrow elements that resonate with each objects history and join them together to create new narratives.

I like to explore the qualities of the mediums that I choose and create
techniques that allow the materials to create new forms.

Interested in global, social and economical issues, my inspirations originate
from popular culture dating back to the 1960’s onwards and my influences
include Peter Blake, Jeff Koons, Ed Ruscha and Vik Muniz.

With an underlying sense of humour and the use of parody, my finished
artworks reflect the funny side of life as well as the seriousness of reality.

I have been working with wood for over 30 years now, and have had many personal highlights in this time. I was awarded a “Gold Medal at the British National Wood Worker Show”. I was also awarded a “Gold and two Bronze Medals” from the “Bexley & District Craft Guild”.

I was commissioned by Geoffrey Marsh MBE from the “British Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineers” to carve their coat of arms on an antique Boxwood Dresser that is to be used as a Talking Stick in their boardroom; The original idea of the Talking Stick was by the American Red Indians. The person holding the Stick cannot be interrupted during a meeting and would be past on to the next person to talk (you can see the finished piece in my gallery).

The artist Graham Clark has one of my Horse Brass patterns featuring his signature logo (you can see this piece in my gallery).
