Recently, I was lucky enough to have two of my photographs used on ILFORD photo paper packaging.

I have shown work in solo and group exhibitions and am an active member of various online photographic communities. I am a member of the Arena Group, and have exhibited in various galleries including the Independent Photographers Gallery in Battle, East Sussex.

I’m Kathryn, I live in Canterbury with two chinchillas and a sausage dog.

I like the words of Murakami, Borges and Auster, the films of Gondry, Bunuel and Tati and the soundtrack from the Junglebook.
Larry David makes me laugh and the sultan’s elephant was nearly the most amazing thing i ever saw.

Also I like: alchemy, Jung, lucid dreams, Blake, Bosch and Ballard, Leonora Carrington, Italo Calvino and Eckhart Tolle, anyone who really explores their world.

Trained as a Ceramicist at the Central School of Art, and ran a Pottery for 25 years.
Am currently under the spell of digital video, photography, and all the assorted skills required to put projects together.

After gaining a BA in Fine Art I started to find lots of different ways of making work.
Most recently collographs, handcoloured plus text. Also mixed media work on both paper & canvasses.
During the last six months I have focused on the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Such great damage claiming 100% of the news space now almost never mentioned!

I work in an unusual place between child art and street art.  My own designs and drawings get worked up into block color, simplistic multi-layer stencil pieces. For some reason unknown to me they often  have something to do with either girls, birds, robots or monsters!
