Kirstin Moore now runs her own jewellery design and manufacturing business from her workshop in Kent, creating beautifully hand crafted contemporary designs. She often takes her inspiration from the human body’s form, allowing her designs to flow and move in harmony with the body.

Kirstin enjoys experimenting with silver and gold, using her silversmith training to produce forged and cast forms, combining these with precious stones and crystals, to create intricate and beautiful designs.

I am a recent graduate of BA(Hons) sliversmithing, goldsmithing and jewellery at UCA Rochester, and throughout my degree I have developed a passion for design and am most happy when designing or working in the workshop expanding my skill and the range of my ideas.

I have developed a predominantly fashion focused design approach inspired by illustration, fairytales, myths and dreamscapes to create both high impact and commercial pieces with quirky, individual, dreamy and playful feel. I am attracted to the idea of responding to constantly evolving trends and styles.

I really enjoyed investigating the interplay of materials, form and colour particularly though a mix of materials and I am always keen to explore and increase my skills though traditional and contemporary techniques and technologies including digital graphics packages.

Since September of this year I have been successful in selling my work in local shops and gallerys as well as taking part in exhibitions and selling in online shops.

I am an Art and Design graduate from the University College of the Arts Kent. I work with natural forms and frequently work on a piece without any preconceived design allowing the work to evolve by inspiration.

Using traditional techniques I spend meticulous attention in expressing natures unexpected workings in fine metals. Each design captures a moment or memory from the English landscape that is echoed when worn on the human form.
