I am Alex Simone, 32 years old, female, recently moved to Whitstable and eager to kick start my photography career in the local area.
I am a keen amateur photographer who loves shooting the unique landscape of the North Kent coast, from Whitstable beach huts & fishing nets to amazing sunsets and the Old Neptune in the snow.
I am also a fan of street art and am passionate about the architecture and street art scene in and around East London and love the contrast bewteen the old parts of the city and the sleek modern city scape that is emerging behind them.
My camera is always with me when travelling and photography takes up a large portion of my holiday when I am away – I am keen to sell some of my travel photographs to image libraries.
Photography became a big part of my life whilst living in New Zealand a few years ago. I set off with my uncles old Olympus SLR in one hand and a thirst to record as many memories of a beautiful new country as possible!
With very little knowledge about photography I enrolled in some black and white courses and learnt how to use a darkroom and my passion grew and grew.
I have recenttly been lucky enough to aquire a Nikon DSLR which I am currently finding my way around and keen to start displaying some of my work in local art fairs and markets.
By day I work as a Print Project Manager at an advertising agency in London.
